If you’re a vegan or have any interest in plant-based cuisine at all, then it’s likely that you’ve heard of Deliciously Ella. What started as a food blog back in 2012, has become a full-fledged empire and with Ella and husband Matt at the helm, they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Plants By De
Plants by de describes itself as “the home of plant-based food that highlights the delicious diversity and abundance of plants.” The restaurant is open as of June 16 and it’s a plant-based eater’s dream come true. The space has transformed and it has a huge kitchen, a brand new menu and offers table service, outdoor seating and plant-based cocktails.
Ella said in a post on Instagram, “Our deli on Weighhouse Street has been a home for us, but we’ve always felt it could be so much better if we could do more of a restaurant experience. We’ve been closed for most of the last fifteen months and have spent a lot of that time reflecting on how we could make that initial dream a reality. In that reflection, and due to a change in planning rules, we decided to take a leap of faith and turn the deli into a restaurant…”
Wondering what’s on the menu? You’ll find everything from pan-fried oyster mushroom scallops with carrot jelly; to asparagus ceviche; cauliflower schnitzel; and the ultimate vegan pancakes with dark chocolate sauce. Everything is made in-house, even the cultured butter.
Reservations are currently open and to celebrate the launch, Plants is offering 25% off all food from the 16th – 22nd of June.
