With its sun-soaked beaches, stunning waterfalls, and dramatic mountains, the appeal of St. Lucia is undeniable. And the fact that two of its top resorts are offering free travel insurance makes booking a trip to the picture-perfect island nation even more enticing.
St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa and the neighbouring couples-only Serenity and Coconut Bay recently announced a reintroduction of free travel insurance included with stays of five or more nights. So, the only thing you have to worry about is whether it’s too early for a margarita.
The Insurance Program
The insurance program covers both medical and quarantine costs, as well as travel protection. It’s complimentary for sun-seekers who book travel through October 31 for travel through June 30. The insurance takes care of medical coverage of up to $100,000 USD and includes assistance and costs for a COVID-19 diagnosis and other illnesses (including pre-existing conditions), as well as quarantine expenses and medical evacuation.
Additionally, the program covers travel interruption of up to $2,000 per person and trip delay and lost baggage compensation.
Guests taking shorter trips will have the option to buy the insurance for $39 USD per person within 24 hours upon arrival at either resort.
Last month, both resorts reported that staff vaccination rates had topped 80%. Furthermore, both properties continue to administer free COVID-19 tests onsite for guests prior to departure as part of the Return Home Antigen Testing program.

For those whose idea of a vacation doesn’t include screaming and splashing children, the resort offers an adults-only section with exclusive areas and amenities.
Meanwhile, the Serenity and Coconut Bay resorts keeps children even further removed from the equation with its entirely adult and couples-only offerings. The luxurious property caters to discerning romantics. Here, 36well-appointed plunge pool suites are designed facilitate serenity and relaxation. Frankly, we’d take either breezy spot right now. Especially when they make it so easy for us (you kind of have to do it, right?).
