Did someone say it’s brunch o’clock? Whether you’re in it for the drinks, food or views, the midday meal has a lot going on. Especially when you’re in Miami, where the brunch vibes are strong. And it’s no secret that there are plenty of places to choose from with a variety of cuisines. Including Phuc Yea. The Miami restaurant, located at 7100 Biscayne Blvd, serves brunch every Sunday.
Phuc Yea Restaurant For Brunch
The Viet-Cajun spot, which opened up in the city in 2011, is led by Ani Meinhold and Chef Cesar Zapata. The concept is a culmination of Meinhold’s Vietnamese heritage and Zapata’s knowledge and experience of the culinary realm. In addition to pho and a variety of noodle dishes, the menu also accentuates flavours of the sea with its seafood options.
But it’s not just the regular menu that’s caught the attention of restaurant-goers in the area, rather the brunch menu as well.
You’ve heard of avocado toast. Now get ready for edamame toast, with sourdough bread, edamame hummus, and garlic lemongrass butter. Similarly, Phuc Yea also has its own version of banh mi that makes a turn from the traditional. We’re talking about the menu item, “Loaded” Classic Banh Mi, which features five spice roasted pork, fried egg and herbs.
If you’re looking for chicken and waffles as one of the classic brunch staples, you’re not going to find it on this particular menu. Instead what they offer is duck confit with Belgian waffles. As for the glaze on the meat? It’s Coca Cola!
And of course, it’s not brunch without bottomless beverages. They’ve got you covered with bottomless sangria, Bloody Mary and mimosas. So if you’re down in Miami, in need of a brunch spot, you know where to go. Reservations can be made online here.
