The new year is just around the corner and although we had a bit more freedom than we experienced in 2020, we’re probably all hoping that 2022 brings us back to our 2019 normal. Every year Pantone releases their colour of the year and this announcement is meant to guide us in setting the tone for the year to come. The colour for 2022 is called ‘very peri’ and represents transformation.

Very Peri
Very Peri encompasses blue qualities while simultaneously possessing a violet-red undertone. As we move through unprecedented times, this colour selection represents our ability to transform and tap into our creativity in this altered landscape. Since this is not a typical blue, Very Peri is a symbol of finding new perspective within the things we see familiarity in. We are not the same people we were before the pandemic and the world itself has changed too. The combination of digital and in-person interactions merging can be seen represented through this non-traditional colour choice. Pantone hopes that “Very Peri will help us to embrace this altered landscape of possibilities, opening us up to a new vision as we rewrite our lives.”
