Livin’ the plant-based life has its perks but scouring a city for a vegan restaurant isn’t one of them. To save you the trouble, I’ve done the research, explored the city and rounded up some vegan eats you have to check out in Vancouver. Known as a bit of a ‘hippy’ city in Canada, Vancouver has some of the most vibrant, diverse vegan restaurants in the country! Whether you’re in the mood for a veggie burger or some spring rolls, I’ve got your back.

Here are 7 vegan restaurants in Vancouver you have to check out
MeeT
This place really feels like vegan heaven. My last trip to Van included a stop at this local favourite just an hour after arriving in the city. Scrolling through their IG really makes me regret not coming back to MeeT for breakfast (just LOOK at that plant-based egg!!) but I can’t complain about the fried mushrooms or burger I had! A Van staple!
Khoe
Not feeling a veggie burger? Explore some plant-based takes on traditional Vietnamese food at Khoe! From vegan bánh mì to spring rolls and bowls, Khoe is the perfect place to give your taste buds a hug.
Virtuous Pie
Vegan pizza AND ice cream. There’s really nothing else I have to say.
Kind Café
Not only is this place kind to the planet and animals, but it’s also kind to your stomach. Everything here is 100% vegan and 90% nut-free! They’re also zero-waste! What else could I say to make you check out King Café? Oh I know, they have BAGELS (I get VERY excited about vegan bagels okay?), flatbreads and smoothie bowls!! BRB drooling!
Copper Branch
I know I know, this isn’t JUST in Vancouver but Copper Branch is too good to exclude from this list. You have to try their “wings” with both hot sauce and aioli…I swear I could eat this every single day. A great place for a quick vegan bite.
Dough & Co
Vegan stuffed cookies! I repeat VEGAN STUFFED COOKIES!!! As a Torontonian, I am V jealous that our Vancouver foodies get to treat themselves to these delicious cookies whenever they want. TTYL, I’m booking a flight. As of May 2021, you can pickup your cookie order every Friday or have them delivered every Saturday.
Kiki’s Kitchen
I’m a sucker for soups and stews but it’s hard to find a place that has vegan options. I’m happy to present Kiki’s kitchen to my fellow plant-based soup lovers. All of their items are hand-crafted in Vancouver and served fresh fresh fresh.
