The Snow Castle
Located in the town of Kemi, the restaurant is aptly called The Snow Castle. That’s not even the most unique part. The structure is in fact rebuilt every single winter with a different architecture and design. It has also earned itself a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first snow castle with the longest snow walls. Everything from the tables to chairs are totally made of ice, and the location even features a variety of ice sculptures as well.
Along with dining, it additionally serves as an entertainment venue for performances and theatre shows. The first structure was built in 1996, which attracted over 300,000 customers to the location. Interested in taking the experience a little further than just dining? The Snow Castle Resort offers accommodation with rooms that are also made of snow and ice.
The unique restaurant in Finland is typically operational from January to end of March or beginning of April. And after which point the ice melts, leading them to rebuild it the following year.
