Miami is home to all sorts of restaurants and amazing dining hotspots and it’s about to get a new one this summer. Known as Gekkō, the place is the result of a team up between rapper Bad Bunny and restauranteur David Grutman. It is also under Grutman’s hospitality group, Groot Hospitality. The new Japanese steakhouse in Miami is expected to be set up at the city’s Brickell neighborhood.

The steakhouse is projected to have a capacity of 185 with a location at the SLS Lux Brickell Tower. The design for Gekkō, which translates to ‘moonlight’ in Japanese, was done by The Rockwell Group. Once inside, you can expect luxurious vibes covered in florals and wooden tones.
Sushi fans will also be excited to hear that there’s going to be a six-seat Omakase bar. As for the complete menu itself, the details on the dishes have yet to be released.
There will be Korean BBQ flavours highlighted in addition to cuts of Wagyu beef and courses with flame-seared steak. Table side meals and preparations are part of the dining experience as well at Gekkō.
Gekkō is just the latest restaurant to be included in Groot Hospitality’s already-vast portfolio. There’s already a number of spots in Miami by the Group. Looking to dine in the city? You can check out places like Key Club, Komodo, and more.
