We can all agree that you can never have too many unique dessert concepts, right? And it would seem that restaurants and cafes are getting more and more inventive as time passes. Even more so that trends are going viral and capturing the attention of the masses. Just like the California dessert spot, Polar Playground.
They’ve begun making quite the name for themselves in Huntington Beach for their cotton candy creations that resemble animals and a variety of TV characters.

Although the menu offers all the classics like ice-creams and milkshakes, it’s their cotton candy that gained traction on TikTok and for good reason. One of their most popular creations, as seen in the video below, is that of a white unicorn with a multicoloured mohawk.

In fact, all the creations are so intricate and detailed, that you can expect to wait up to an hour or even longer at the spot, till you’re able to get your hands on the treat. They also offer those that look like famed fictional characters, including Grogu from The Mandalorian, Winnie-the-Pooh, and more.
The list of characters that are available changes on the daily. This can be found on the written menu at the dessert spot. Want to beat the long queue? You might want to head there as early as possible as there could be an hour-long wait time or longer.
Polar Playground is located at 16891 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach and they’re open Wednesday to Sunday from 1pm.
