The SoHo Hotel is located on one of Toronto’s most liveliest intersections, but you wouldn’t feel it when you’re in this boutique property. Steps from the Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays, in the heart of the Entertainment District, this luxury boutique property boasts some of the biggest rooms of any downtown hotel.
With the newly launched app, you can now check in, get a mobile key and order services directly from your phone.
The Vibe at the SoHo Hotel
The 4-star newly renovated hotel & residence consists of 89 over-sized rooms, surrounded by restaurants and entertainment – so you’ll never run out of things to do around here.
As you walk in, the lobby is engulfed with dark woods, accented by grandiose marble framing. To your right, you can’t help but notice the vibrant design of Moretti Caffè – spelled the Italian way, of course ;).
So whether you’re catching a musical, a ball game, or you just want to be in the heart of this bustling city on your next visit to Toronto, the SoHo Hotel could be the perfect option for you. Especially for business travel and couples.
The Rooms
There are few key things I want to highlight at this hotel, which I’ll get into shortly, but one of my favourites is that all the rooms contain a king size bed.
Spacious in size, the designs are clean and simple. The closet/change room area is larger than usual with tons of storage space. One very unique thing is that each room has a separate HVAC system & ion air filtration system making it extremely germ-friendly.
The bathrooms, heated floors of course, are quite spacious, covered in marble from top to bottom with a stand alone shower and bath.
The Food & Drinks
During the day, you have the beautifully designed Moretti Caffè offering a decent range of breakfast and lunch items. Amazing, friendly staff and a good overall vibe if you want to enjoy a coffee on the patio with friends or just want to catch up on some work.
Come 5pm, the Caffè closes and on the other side of the lobby, Moretti Restaurant opens their doors. The design is absolutely stunning and when night falls, the lights dim and the vibe, ambiance and experience is electrifying.
Admittedly, I come here a lot when I’m in town and love the “Montréal vibe” they bring to the city, making it completely unique to Toronto.
Known for their wood-burning pizzas and fresh made pastas, the menu is extensive with a good variety. The staff always make you feel at home and strive to deliver a genuinely welcoming experience.
The Amenities
Another highlight at the SoHo Hotel is the fitness centre, run by celebrity trainer and former professional bodybuilder, Dalton Brown. It’s never too busy and has a great range of equipment, a steam room, hot tub and full indoor pool. Even comes with an outdoor space where you can do your workouts in the summer.
The hotel has a few venue options for special events & corporate retreats, including one that’s perfect for weddings and large outdoor gatherings offering great views of the CN Tower & cityscape.
