After much anticipation after his sold out launch last year, Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum recording artist, Post Malone, is dropping his latest creation across Canada right on time for National Rosé Day, on June 12. Named, Maison No. 9 – after his favourite tarot card – the wine is collaboration between Post Malone, music manager Dre London and James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities. The three founders worked closely with multi award-winning Provence winemaker Alexis Cornu to perfect the liquid.

“Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy.”
– Post Malone
The 2020 Mediterranean IGP, was awarded 90 points on wine.com, and is a delicious blend of 45% Grenache Noir, 25% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 15%Merlot – a classic blend of red grapes from the south of France.
Maison No. 9
What’s the profile like? Well it is said to be soft, light pink in color, and offers intense and inviting aromas of freshly picked fruit, including ripe pineapple, pear and strawberry with hints of sweet French desserts! Doesn’t that sound exciting! The clean, dry, crisp finish is balanced and round with a texture that is mouth-watering and savoury, perfect for enjoying with friends or alongside light dishes during the summer months and beyond – and I think everyone at WanderEater is looking forward to tasting it!
In a classic, unforgettable and undeniable Provence like bottle – The sleek, slender and sustainable all-glass wine vessel is topped off with a solid glass cap shaped into ‘battlements’ that mirror a medieval castle located near the vineyard itself; whilst the name is inspired by Malone’s favourite tarot card – Nine of Swords, symbolizing triumph over life’s daily challenges.
Following in the footsteps of its founders, Maison No. 9 has already rocketed far beyond the prism of typical celebrity brand launches: its US release through online wine platform Vivino in June 2020 saw 50,000 bottles sold in just 48 hours, making it the fastest-selling launch of a wine product in history. A limited release in the UK in December 2020 saw the wine sell out in just 5 days.

Maison No. 9
The brand was conceived the day before the 61st GRAMMY Awards, following a long day of rehearsals with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Staples Centre. Dre London rushed Post Malone to their next meeting with James Morrissey, introduced through a long-time friend. The trio spent the evening sharing their affinity for French wine and discussing a vineyard in the South of France that was producing the most incredible rosé Morrissey had ever tasted. Though all three agreed they had found themselves and their friends drinking more rosé in recent years, they realised that there was no blend or brand that stood out as their favourite and vowed to create such a wine. Ten days later, they found themselves at the winery in the French Riviera, sampling the grapes. They fell in love with the liquid, the landscape, and the Mediterranean lifestyle. It took multiple trips and tasting of over 100 rosé blends until they found the perfect one. Maison No. 9 was born.
