Lexus is helping travellers recharge with “Retreats in Motion”, a self-guided road trip providing meaningful experiences while promoting wellness every step of the way. During these five-day, four-night driving retreats, guests can take the 2021 Lexus IS for a scenic and restorative drive as well as participate in the curated self-care activities along the way.

Lexus has partnered with two luxury hotel brands to accommodate the “Retreats in Motion” travellers throughout their journey. Chosen for their exceptional service, impeccable design and culinary offerings, guests will stay at each resort for two nights before returning to their original hotel. The route is mapped to have, on average, a three-hour drive between destinations.
Paired with the 2021 Lexus IS sport sedan, travellers will embark on a customized route that is fully equipped with suggested stops and wellness activities to enjoy along the drive. The “Retreats in Motion” campaign focuses on the vehicle as an essential aspect of the restorative experience. The car itself is a luxury destination! Now add in a mobile wellness kit, breathtaking views, aromatherapy and delicious, healthy meals… and now it sounds like a road trip to remember.
To create the custom wellness content for retreat participants, Lexus partnered with mindbodygreen, a media brand specializing in health and wellness. Together, they enlisted the help of experts such as Jonathan Safran Foer, Mary Beth LaRue, and Sara Auster to create a variety of wellness activities like podcasts, walking meditations and in-car sound baths. Each activity is designed specifically to create a calming and rejuvenating road trip experience.
Currently, “Retreats in Motion” has three routes in California, with an East Coast route coming to Massachusetts in the Spring. Guests are responsible for their own registration and travel costs; “Retreats in Motion” fees start at $2700 USD for two guests which include:
- Five-days, four-nights accommodations
- Use of the 2021 Lexus IS
- Intimate access to curated wellness content
- Complimentary wellness kit
