New York Wine
NY is home to some of the most diverse terroir in the world. There are eleven main viticultural areas, however the two main wine growing areas are: Finger Lakes – with a cooler continental climate (similar to Ontario); and Long Island – with a more moderate maritime climate (similar to Bordeaux). With over 40+ grape varieties including Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc, it’s easy to find a wine that suits your palate. Looking to explore?
