Travelling and the ArriveCAN App
As WanderEater initially reported, as of July 5 at 11:59 p.m., fully vaccinated travellers who are permitted to enter Canada will no longer have to quarantine for 14 days, complete a mandatory hotel stay, or have to take a day-eight COVID-19 test. So long as they meet appropriate criteria upon their arrival into the country.

Regardless of vaccination status, all travellers will need to use the ArriveCAN app to provide their necessary COVID-19 documentation before they arrive in Canada. However, the rules have not changed for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers.
Upon arrival, travellers will notice the separate lines that are for fully vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers in the customs-controlled area when they arrive in Canada. The customs officers will also be the ones determining the validity of a travellers’ vaccine documents.
Whether you’ve been fully-vaxxed or not, masks are still mandatory inside airports and on airplanes. A statement on the Toronto Pearson International Airport website reads, “To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, all passengers and airport employees must wear a mask at all times. This includes the pre-and post-security screening areas of the terminals, parking facilities, inter-terminal train, sidewalks/curbs outside the terminals and other outdoor public areas.”
