Book now before it’s too late: Qualifying travellers will receive $200 BBD (Bajan dollars) towards experiencing Barbados when they visit, now until October 31st, 2023.
If that’s not a reason to book today, I don’t know what is!
The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) is offering this amazing promotion for a limited time, for those who book before October 15th, 2023. So don’t wait, or you’ll be passing up on this.
The even better news, the Barbados Food & Rum Festival fits into the eligible travel period (October 19-21st this year). And if you haven’t heard of their Food & Rum Festival, you don’t know what you’re missing.
It’s never a bad time to visit this incredible island…although, both Crop Over season and the Food & Rum Festival season would be two of the absolute BEST times to visit.
During these two times of the year, there is a plethora of festivities, parties, events, gatherings and celebrations that are the perfect way to soak up the incredible culture that makes Barbados incredible (yup, I’m, going to say it) BUCKET LIST destination that it is!
And Bajans party on a whole new level. Ever heard of an All Inclusive PARTY? You get a bracelet and then have all-inclusive access to the bars and food stations. Think doubles, corn soup, loaded chips, fish cakes, you name it… and bottomless rum punch, cocktails, beer, wine etc. Bajans do it RIGHT!
I can confidently say, if you haven’t been to Barbados, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s not just your average tropical Caribbean destination. And trust me, I have travelled to some of the “hottest” destinations in the world. And Barbados tops most, if not all, of them. It’s the people, the warmth they offer, the weather, the views, the hospitality, the experiences, the deliciously HOTT food, ever-flowing crafted cocktails and abundant drinks (like rum punch–it runs on TAPS there), and so much more!
I’ve honestly never felt so free to just be unapologetically me (a queer Hispanic-mixed openly queer plus-size man), and take in and enjoy the island, its food, culture and everything else it has to offer–just like any other person. It’s heartwarming, honestly. When you leave Barbados… you not only gain new experiences, and become obsessed with the destination, you gain a family. Everyone truly makes you feel at home. Like nowhere else I have EVER been. It’s on a whole other level!
Confidentially walking the streets, like and among the locals, grabbing 4 for $12 USD beers from a local rum shop (not to be confused with a bar) steps from a beachfront in Oistins (the fish market village). Or even walking out after sun fall to grab dinner in town–never feeling unsafe, or out of place.
I know what you’re thinking though…
But, how does the Barbados “World of Difference” promotion work?
This all sounds great, but how do I access quality, etc? Great questions…here’s how:
Travellers must book their holiday to Barbados, through their preferred booking platform (like Expedia or iTravel2000, or any other) and be staying at one of the approved accommodation partners (see below). Once a booking to Barbados has been made, you visit www.bookbarbados.com/worldofdifference to register for the program, providing the required details for redemption. Each approved traveller will receive $200 BBD in a digital wallet, to be spent exclusively within Barbados with an approved partner. Once received, travellers can then use the funds via Book Barbados with these easy steps:
- Download the Book Barbados Trip Planner app to your phone (to have easy access).
- Make a booking with one of the eligible experiences through the partners available in the Trip Planner.
- Then have the vendor scan your QR code from the app and apply the credit to your balance immediately.
How do you qualify for the Barbados “World of Difference” promotion?
- Must be over the age of 18 years old.
- Must be travelling to Barbados for more than 4-days on the island.
- Must be staying at an approved accommodation property.
- Must complete the full entry form and upload proof of trip booking to Book Barbados website.
It’s that simple and easy!
If that isn’t convincing enough…check out this vlog from Canada’s very own, The Brandon Gonez Show’s recent visit to Barbados for a lens into what your visit could be like too:
Now the question is, how fast can you round up your friends and family to plan your trip? You can thank us later! And stay tuned, because we got a heap more of Barbados content coming your way because we just took in all that is Crop Over and we cannot wait to share it with you too. #StayTuned #LoveBardados
