There are so many great places to get inspired to whip up the perfect dish for any meal. You could scour your fave cookbooks or turn the TV to see what’s being dished up on Food Network but recently, I have been finding it more convenient to get inspo from my favourite foodie Instagram accounts. The stunning photos of the finished product and the clear and easy to follow instructions are certainly helpful for amateur cooks like me. Many food Instagram accounts are focused on creating simple dishes that are a sinch to recreate as many people are picking up cooking as a hobby in lockdown. That said, here are some of the most inspirational accounts that I follow!

The beautiful Arezou Pourghavami is a passionate baker and avid photographer. She shares gorgeous pictures of her creations on Instagram along with the creating process. Her posts are truly inspiring but don’t forget to check out her Instagram stories to get the true behind-the-scenes experience.

Liv B has been sharing easy to follow vegan recipes on Youtube since 2016 so you know she’s the real deal. Hailing from Nova Scotia, her page is the perfect place to visit if you are looking for healthy and delicious recipes to make for your family and friends.

Erin Ireland is a well-rounded foodie. While she never expected to create such a large business around what she makes in the kitchen, her many generous reviews from a Michelin star chef and a personal order from a TV Bachelorette certainly made a difference. In addition to all the recognition, she offers many daily vegan cooking tips on her Instagram page.

Diala Canelo shares plant-forward and pescatarian recipes on her page and her Instagram is filled with beautiful original pictures of her recipes. They are definitely mouthwatering and an absolute crowd-pleaser. She incorporates both the ingredients and directions into her post so there is no need to search further for your next dish. As the cooking expert on Your Morning and The Marilyn Denis Show, Vijaya shares great recipes that are bursting with flavour. Many of her dishes, ranging from Pasta Bolognese to a simple Carrot Cake, can take less than 10 minutes to make. She posts all her recipes on her YouTube channel so it is easy to follow along in your kitchen.

Laura Wright shares an endless collection of her favourite vegan recipes and occasional pictures of her beautiful work station. Her recipes include vegan and grain-free brownies and sun-dried tomato white beans with crispy caper breadcrumbs to name a few!
