If scotch is one of your love languages, then you’ll definitely want to pay close attention because you won’t want to miss this news. Bowmore Single Malt Scotch has just released Black Bowmore DB5 1964 which is the distillery’s first-ever creation made in partnership with the iconic luxury car maker Aston Martin.
This extremely rare scotch is inspired by the year 1964. It was during this year that Bowmore began distilling the ultra-rare Black Bowmore. It was also the year that Aston Martin’s DB5 quickly became the world’s most famous car, thanks to its starring role as James Bond’s car in Goldfinger.
David Turner, Distillery Manager at Bowmore commented, “1964 represents a significant date in the modern history of the distillery. Not only a key moment in how we distilled our spirit, but perhaps even more significant as this very spirit went onto create Black Bowmore. These defining moments are fundamental to the history of Bowmore. This collaboration with Aston Martin has allowed us to once again showcase this iconic single malt in the most incredible way.”
These two luxe brands could not be a better team and to make it all even more luxurious, the collab centres around a bottle worth a whopping $85,000. With notes of exotic fruit, crème caramel, aromatic orange peel and rich black cherries, the scotch has a long decadent finish.
If the price hasn’t scared you off, it might be a bit tricky to get your hands on a bottle because only 25 have been made available worldwide with only two available in Canada.
