After a Canadian-wide search, Hipcamp has awarded Vancouver-based content creators, Andrew Santos and Brodie Younger, Canada Best Summer Job. The winners of this national competition not only get a $20,000 prize, but embark on an extraordinary, 40-day cross-Canada summer adventure.
Winning Hipcamps national competition, Santos and Younger will get to spend 40 days adventuring across Canada. Camping at 20 of Hipcamp’s best sites along the way. Along with a cash prize of $20,000 CAD, the pair will receive a stipend to cover food and travel expenses during their trip.

About The Trip
A hilarious video pitch and compelling interview made a lasting impression on voters and judges. Both Vancouver creators beat more than 50 other contestants in Hipcamp’s Summer Job competition.
“This is an incredible opportunity to do what I love with my partner – all while inspiring others to find themselves outside,” said Santos. “I’m most excited about the various landscapes, new experiences, and meeting Hipcamp Hosts and locals along the way.”
Younger explain how the opportunity was too great to pass up. “I want to encourage Canadians to boldly chase new opportunities and let their passions take them on a journey,” said Younger. “I’ve been in a transitional period over the past few months and winning Canada’s Best Summer Job tells me that I’m on the right path.”
Santos and Younger’s cross-Canada adventure will span from Aug. 9 to Sept. 16, 2021. During their journey, they’ll visit Hipcamp’s most adventurous camping sites across BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. Additionally, they’ll be creating regular vlog/blog content at stops along the way.
“Andrew and Brodie represent the best of modern Canadian adventurers. They’re natural storytellers living out their shared value of sustainability in some truly compelling ways,” said Tegh Singh-Bedi, Hipcamp’s Canadian general manager.
