The study’s aim is to assess consumer demand for Canadian cannabis tourism experiences. This study will explore cannabis tourist profile and how cannabis experiences can be integrated into travel plans.

Research Study
An executive summary of the Canadian Cannabis Tourism Research Study, led by Dupej, will be presented at the New Heights Cannabis Tourism Summit. This will provide attendees with exclusive access to these crucial insights.
Taking place online on October 25, 2021, the 3rd Annual New Heights Cannabis Tourism Summit that aims to fuse the cannabis and tourism industries together. The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) in partnership with the cannabis and tourism industries will host this event.
Participants will learn about recreational cannabis adventures like culinary experiences, cannabis festivals, cannabis-friendly hotels, dispensary tours, and wellness. Additionally, the Executive Summary of the Canadian Cannabis Tourism Research.

Susan Dupej, is leading the research for this unrivalled study. Dupej is a PhD, a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Guelph. She believes this data is crucial and will enable the industry to invest in cannabis tourism with confidence.
